HITACHI

The company was founded in 1910 by a young engineer Namikhei Odaira as a repair shop for electrical equipment at a copper mining company. The name of the company consists of a combination of two hieroglyphs "Chi" and "Tachi", meaning the Sun and Sunrise, personifying Japan itself - a country of high technology.
